“It felt like a transition, and I actually figured, to be honest with you, straight away that I was dead, and I didn't fight it. I didn't try to resist it. It's not like I wanted to die, but after all the way my life had been and the whole horror of the accident, it just kind of I just kind of went with it because I felt safe instantly as well.”3:32

It wasn't like the love between humans which involves various emotions.  This love was unconditional and serene. I was levitating toward the light. At the same  time, I knew that I was dead. I did not have a word for the concept of death. I had this  strong perception that my life had ended and”1:12

“Yeah, it's very odd because you would think that you might be afraid, or maybe you'd be surprised, or you'd be wondering what was happening, maybe you'd be confused. But that just wasn't the case. I was just standing there, like you said, in a very matter of fact way, looking at my body, contemplating the meaning of my life because now my life was over.”7:57

“So it was like, as soon as you left your body, everything kind of fell away, the fear and the pain and everything else. Everything. I didn't even have knowledge that I had kids there or any family members or anything like that. I had no concept.”16:11

Or does it still happen today? Can you still go there? A doctor told me that there are so-called triggers, moments that set something off.”28:18

“Yeah, so it's very kind of numb. I couldn't really catch my breath anymore. Like a numb knowing, no knowing. Like I'm leaving. My soul is like leaving my body. I couldn't breathe anymore. My brain felt like it was getting really numb. I'm trying to think of some tingliness, numbness in my hands and arms, but I have PTSD obviously because of all those situations that I was going through before that night. But so that's part of the PTSD is the numb and tingly and spacing out. But this is totally different than just spacing out and getting through a traumatic situation. This was literally abandoning my body, and dying, just deciding that I'm gonna just check out completely.”4:16
