#339 - Bryan's NDE: "Death Freed Me"
What Researchers Found
The Story
Brian Jordan, a 53-year-old heavy equipment operator, suffered a widowmaker heart attack while driving a bulldozer at work on October 3, 2020. His heart stopped three times during the event. During the first NDE, he left his body, watched CPR, floated among stars seeing sparkling crafts, entered a lit cave with a translucent guide, experienced darkness then a bright light filled with overwhelming love, forgiveness, and peace, viewed a vibrant garden of sparkling flowers, and encountered a powerful being of light that he believed was God or his higher self. In the second NDE in the ambulance, he stood beside his body, saw a circle of diverse flowers symbolizing unity, visited a white room with ancient dog statues, and gazed at a glowing blue Earth. The third NDE in the hospital showed a massive ancient chair covered in green vines and yellow trumpet flowers. After the NDEs, Brian rejected rigid religious rules, embraced universal love, stopped fearing death, wrote a book to share his story, and now focuses on treating others with kindness and living without worry.
“never knew never even knew it was me I and this time I was uh I was in this”
The NDE occurred during multiple cardiac arrests with verified out-of-body observations of CPR and body position changes, providing moderate evidential strength from confirmed medical details. However, perceptions are limited to same-room vantage points with expected resuscitation elements, lacking high specificity, unpredictability, or remote access that would elevate the score.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
