“I had an NDE when I was 12, just about to turn 13. So I'd been um quite unwell and I was admitted into hospital, and no one was quite sure what was going on with me. And I'd been in there for, I think, about 48 hours, and I was in a lot of pain, and there was lots of different doctors coming in, offering opinions, and um, really no resolution. And it got to the point where my mom just kind of lost her mind at the doctor and just said, 'You have to do something to help my daughter. She's in too much pain.' And so they reluctantly agreed to take me into surgery, and I remember it was the first time I'd had surgery, so I was afraid. And there was a beautiful nurse on, Judy, who, um, as I was going under, she was saying, 'You'll love the anesthetic. It feels really lovely.' And so I remember being quite at peace.”0:00

“And then I saw my body. There were all the doctors working with them, and then I just saw myself, and I felt great. It was not hurting anymore. It was like if I was in the corner of that room, looking at doctors and everybody shouting and helping me, but then I was like, 'Okay, it doesn't hurt anymore. I'm fine,' and I started floating.”30:38

“I mean, I had my two NDEs, and I didn't experience what a lot of people talk about: the love, the joy, they see these beautiful things. And these people, you know, because my drowning at five years old was just an out-of-body experience. I was this ghost kid out running around doing stuff outside my body.”10:59

“anything else that others describe. I only watched while I was out of body. That's all. When I was asked why I couldn't swim, I always talked about the event at the time. Nobody ever asked how I could see this from above. It never occurred to me to ask about it either. It was only after my brother died 3 years ago that I started to deal with the topic of death. I came across the topic of NDE and then I remembered my own experience. Two months ago, I called the kindergarten where I went to school”3:27

“I, I see that experience almost like someone who had an NDE as an adult, because they die, then they're taken out of their body, they experience themselves as the spirit being that they are, and when they come back, they're somebody else. That was what that fast done for me. I experienced myself as the spirit being that I am, and when I came back, I knew I was different. I was no longer the same person. Even if I didn't remember when I was a child, what happened during my NDE, I, I believe all of that was covered by the programming of the world.”31:34

“And she said, 'The voice that I heard was not the voice that I hear in my head.' My dad had two NDEs when he was 16 years old. He was in a terrible car accident. He said that he felt like he was floating above the wreck, and he looked down, and he said it was about 30, 40 feet above. And all these people were running to the car wreck, and he saw this incredible white light. He goes, 'I feel great. Okay, I'm dead.' He said it was the most amazing feeling.”18:20

“It was during surgery where my main NDE happened. When they brought me in, they gave me general anesthetic, and I remember starting to drift off. You know, the nurses and doctors were talking, I remember all of that, and then I drifted off. But instead of going to that kind of gray... what I call that gray state of nothingness that we experienced during general anesthesia, I woke up not in the o, but I woke up standing up on a hillsiden and I thought, 'Whoa, this is weird. This is really weird.'”1:55

“When I realized that someone was my lifeless body, I felt a rush of panic, but as fast as that panic set in, it was lifted off me. I was emotionally pulled back from the scene. I felt indescribable peace and love. I knew everything was okay. I was okay. As I continued to watch the scene, I could hear everyone in the room and in the other rooms. I could see everything going on in the hospital and even outside.”5:00

“looking down at the team. But I could feel their fear that they were going to lose me. Um, and I remember I was just being held. And I remember it felt like it had a duvet or a cover around me. Um, not my physical self, but my energy self, my soul. I remember being held there. Um, and I remember my grandma, she was still talking to me um on the other side. And then they when I went back to the when I came out of that, they put me on a ward, an ICU. And I remember I was holding her hand um in spirit. She was by my side. And when I”23:43

“reported near-death experiences under those circumstances. I really felt incredible. I felt free and weirdly even though my body was dying, I felt alive, like liberated, alive and free. It was just the most incredible feeling I can ever describe. I was able to see my physical body lying there on that hospital bed, but my body looked so small and insignificant compared to how I was now feeling. >> Darius J. Wright didn't imagine the afterlife. “But, um, so my NDE happened in a way that I had no idea. It was just like being normal everyday life. It was just an experience. I woke up, this is what happened, and I went back into my body, woke up, and life went on as usual. I went home, hugged my kids, and was completely healthy.”11:32

“regained consciousness. I was reacting from sadness, but from being moved and from the love that was overflowing within me. I heard the doctor's voice asking, "What is happening, Miss Nella?" And I answered in a trembling, tearful voice, "I saw an angel." I said something else, but I don't remember it. Later, I regained full consciousness and vision in the hospital room. I was still given oxygen. For about an hour, as I lay there remembering everything that had happened, I was overcome with immense emotion. Tears just flowed on”3:54

“My NDE was on August 22nd, 2009. I was 34 years old, and I woke up with a tremendous amount of pain, excruciating pain, and I was burning up with a fever of 106°. We didn't know what was going on. A family member took me to the hospital, and they were running tests and trying to figure out what was happening. I remember when I was in for my CT scan, they were trying to adjust my IV. I could feel myself detaching. I could feel myself coming out and I would drift out almost the way you see a balloon start to drift away into the sky, but that pain kept pulling me back in. And after my CT scan, they brought me out into an area in the emergency room where we were just waiting for what was next, and that's when everything started happening, when I really started dying at that point.”0:07

“And that reaction, in my mind, was so confusing because I felt my body tensing, my whole body tensed to the point where my hands were like this, and I couldn't move them. But in my mind, I could still move. That was very confusing to me. And then I remember my mom looking at me and and saying, 'You need to breathe,' and she was yelling at me, and I felt very distant to what I was seeing around me. It felt like I was kind of receding, like the, the, it was going black, and I remember thinking, but I am breathing, and being slightly annoyed that she was yelling at me about it. And then everything went dark. And at that point, I had started to experience this feeling of being like sucked into what I would describe from the first NDE as a void of just nothingness and peacefulness. So it was being pulled into that. But then I remember just really quickly, like launching back into my body and taking a massive breath. Um, and I was shaking and crying and I didn't understand what was going on. And from the information that I was given by my mom was that I had cut out, like I was not there. I was very blue, and I had started to flatline on the monitor, and she had been able to call the nurses in. They administered a reversal drug, thankfully, that was the only prescription that they had given me at that time, so they knew exactly what to do to bring me back. And yeah, that was my first experience of a pretty severe NDE.”32:31

“I felt my body, my soul go back into my body. I could still feel and see my grandmother beside me, but I was back in my body now. And before I could even speak, through consciousness, I felt my higher self come in and speak to the nurse.”8:01

“I could hear the doctors talking about what they were going to do with me and whether or not I would make it. And I also remember one of those moments, not liking where I was. And, you know, a lot of us think, well, you know, we have this near-death experience and it's all sweetness and light and everybody's got the tunnel. People, different people have different experiences of approaching death.”26:42
