dying itself isnt what they thought it would be

“I was all okay with dying and very peaceful, no fear.”1:53

“As I floated up, I had a sense of peace washed throughout my entire body. I knew that I was dying, but I was okay with it. I felt like I was returning home, and that a huge weight had been lifted.”2:40

“I knew it was time to die, and I knew I'd held my breath for as long as I could, and I was in sheer panic, absolutely traumatized by knowing that this is it. And it was extraordinary feeling because as I took in that breath, what I expected was totally opposite. It was absolute peace. This peace sort of filtered into me. No fear, no worry, total peace. And when that happened, um, I just relaxed.”6:54

“I suddenly became aware that my heart and lungs were silent and thought to myself 'Now I really must have died, at least I am not in pain.' My soul or spirit left my body and I found myself floating in a dark space. I was not afraid. I felt comfortable there. I thought it was very beautiful. I was still thinking like myself, feeling like myself. My memory and personality remained, and I could float in this space freely.”1:36

“I started to suffocate and I knew I was dying. But here's the strangest part. I didn't feel fear. As I watched people around me panic, a heavy calm settled over me. Everything went quiet. It was like time slowed down just for me. I looked around fully aware and began to make peace with what was coming. Then the ambulance arrived. They lifted me in and the moment those doors shut behind me, I died. I left my body. I could see it, but I was no longer attached to it. There was no pain, no panic, just”11:36

“It was as if my complete peace with the idea of death helped will my body into giving up, not resisting the process. I was totally and utterly at peace and so pleased with this concept. I felt some kind of a floating feeling and started to see differently my body on the bed and my friend crying frantically. For a tiny moment, I felt sorry for my body as if an old friend who I had empathized with, but I was done with it and wanted to move on without it.”2:08

“Like peace, just like the love that I described. You get that feeling with that peace, it just flows through you. That's not one thing on my mind. No heart attack. No pain. I didn't remember how I died. I didn't even know I was even dead.”31:09

“All I did was floating and I had no pain either. I even felt as if I already had angels around me. I had so many encounters, too and noticed, “That’s where I want to go.” I had no fear of dying either.”9:33

“And everything about the experience of dying felt completely familiar. There was no fear. There was no, um, doubts. I didn't linger over my body in, um, in question or, or thoughts of that, oh, no, I'm leaving myself behind. I was completely me. I was, uh, everything that I was was right there.”51:15

“Yes, I did. Yeah, I felt very, very in awe of it. Yeah, and I didn't expect to wake up. I was at peace with dying. It was something that didn't scare me. I was just, my time was up. So when I woke up, it was just, oh, I didn't go. Okay, I'm okay with that, too.”14:14

“And it was at that point that I left the hospital, I left all the agony that I was in, and I left the drama of it all. And, and I suddenly, in a, in a much calmer place. I was in, like, what seemed to me at the first to be a darkened space, a darkened room, and I looked around me, uh, figuring that I was dead. I figured, okay, this is it. I didn't make it. And I didn't feel scared, I didn't resist it, and I didn't want to die. But I was, from what I've just been through, was, which was so horrific, it just felt great to feel calm and no pain whatsoever.”12:33

“I thought there must have died in that surgery, but there was no fear or anxiety. It was very peaceful, and all I wanted to do was absorb all the love I was feeling.”1:44

“Well, I immediately popped out of my body and found myself in this absolute darkness, but it was it was this calm, peaceful. You got to realize I just came from this raging sea that was freezing cold. It was in March. And suddenly I'm comfortable. It's quiet. It's absolutely dark. But I just died this violent death, and this felt very peaceful, and I didn't feel like I was alone. It felt like there was something greater than me there. I didn't understand it, but I could sense it. I could, you know.”7:08
