The Story
Christine Dorsey was a five-and-a-half-year-old girl in a Catholic kindergarten in Queens, New York. She developed a stomach ache on a Friday afternoon, which led to her appendix bursting and going septic. Her parents rushed her to Elmhurst General Hospital for emergency surgery. During her near-death experience, Christine arrived in heaven and saw a magnificent field of colorful tulips as tall as she was. She followed a barefoot man in a robe along a dirt path between the fields. To the left, she saw a beautiful setting sun. They reached a perfect climbing tree, which she later understood as the tree of her life. The man turned, revealing green eyes with gold flecks, a warm smile, light brown hair, and a beard. He showed her a thick book with uneven pages, fanned them, and said, 'You two will know this book one day.' He then took her hand to a stream with worn rocks. After the experience, Christine spent 17 days in the hospital, including 12 in the ICU. She felt depressed and unhappy to return to life, as shown by her unsmiling kindergarten graduation photo. The profound event led her to develop gifts in mediumship and energy healing. She now helps others with healing, meditation, manifestation, and understanding soul contracts, emphasizing life's lessons and the beauty beyond death.
“back in you're going to come back after your soul has done a little healing on”
This NDE features a severe medical crisis (burst appendix, sepsis, ICU) but contains no veridical perceptions of earthly events, only a heavenly vision of tulips, a guide, tree of life, and stream. Lacks any specific, verifiable, or confirmed details about the physical world during unconsciousness, resulting in low evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
