The Story
Mauro was 25 years old when he underwent hemorrhoid surgery, which triggered his near-death experience (NDE). During the NDE, he felt a sense of peace while on the stretcher. He then saw himself from above and heard a voice telling him he could decide to enter a bright area but would not return if he did. Mauro chose not to enter and was told to stop complaining. After this, he woke up in a recovery room, feeling relieved to be alive. The experience gave him a new perspective on life, leading to a greater appreciation for his existence and a desire to understand his past experiences better.
“something that I was feeling and that I never felt in my life ... I wanted to stay there ... I didn't want to leave.”
