Peter Panagore Became One With All That Ever Was, Is, Or Will Be

The Story
Peter Panagore was an undergraduate student in 1980. He had a near-death experience from severe hypothermia during an ice climbing accident in the Canadian Rockies. He collapsed on the mountain after the rope jammed, leading to his temporary death. During the NDE, he left his body and entered deep darkness. An angelic being scooped him up and carried him through the void. He became a massive orb of consciousness in an expansive darkness. A portal tore open, revealing a waterfall of pure white light mixed with all colors. He moved toward it, merged with the light, and expanded. The light showed his creation eons ago and now. A life review illuminated his entire life, including pains he caused others, which he experienced as his own. He felt shame but saw radical equality in humanity's brokenness. Love dissolved his suffering. He viewed past lives, the universe's weaving from light, and infinite love in all beings. He chose to return to ease his parents' suffering, knowing he could come back later. After the NDE, Panagore transformed his life. He shifted from architecture to studying Western mysticism at Yale Divinity School. He became a minister, author, and spiritual counselor. He practices prayer and yoga, shares his story through books and media, and helps others integrate spiritual experiences. He lives with purpose to channel divine love and light.
“I can see back into heaven back where it was and then that eye just closes and”
This NDE features a profound mystical experience during severe hypothermia-induced unconsciousness, but contains no claims of veridical perceptions of physical events, conversations, or details inaccessible to normal senses. The absence of any specific, verifiable observations from an out-of-body perspective severely limits evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Was this Evidence Strength score useful?
Was this Experience Depth score useful?
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Was this Life Impact score useful?
