A Soldier's Incredible NDE: Glenn Brymer
What Researchers Found
The Story
Glenn was a 19-year-old U.S. soldier at a missile site, preparing to deploy to Vietnam. The NDE happened during a tactical evaluation when a truck backed into a generator and pinned him against a wall three times, crushing his arm and causing severe bleeding. As he lay in the ambulance bleeding out, Glenn prayed to God for help and surrendered. He was jerked out of his body into a cloudy area where he saw his semi-transparent silverish gray body and felt unconditional love. A caring male voice said, 'Glenn, you don't die. We don't die. You continue.' A light appeared and showed fast images of creation, mountains turning to dust and oceans, life cycles of birth, death, and rebirth, and other planets. The voice said, 'Now you know, Glenn.' He returned to his body just as the medic checked him. Glenn became calm and lost his fear of death. He understood that death is not an end but a beginning and a change.
“if you're asking God for your life you no second choice so I'm thinking well I”
No veridical perceptions of inaccessible physical events; the NDE consists of internal physiological control, prayer, and spiritual visions in a non-physical realm without any corroborated external observations. Medical crisis is severe but consciousness persists until OBE, limiting evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
