The Story
Paulina Halffield was a woman in her 20s living in a spiritual community in Israel in the 1980s. Her near-death experience started when a large ovarian cyst ruptured after she drank contaminated water, causing severe pain and toxic flooding in her body. She was driven to the hospital. During the NDE, Paulina left her body through her third eye and crown chakra after seeing a big blue eye. She floated above the car and saw the road and people inside. She rose higher and viewed the city, Earth, space, stars, planets, and galaxies. She heard a loud audible life stream like wind and crashing sounds. Elements of air, fire, water, and earth passed through her, transforming and reconnecting her to her true self. She realized humans come from stars and are made of elements. She entered a bright, loving light and understood she was consciousness. She moved through corridors of light to Akashic records, absorbed soul memories, and felt at home. She returned to her body when pulled back. After the NDE, Paulina had surgery and recovered. She studied past life therapy, shamanism, healing, and art therapy. She developed skills to help others with death, energy, and spirituality. She lectured at universities and wrote a book on reconnecting with the divine feminine at goddess temples in Malta.

This NDE includes an OBE from an impossible vantage during a severe medical crisis, but the perceived details are limited to expected seating arrangements and vague distant landmarks already anticipated on the route to the hospital. No verification attempts, confirmed details, or unpredictable elements are reported, severely limiting evidential value. The account relies on self-reported recall years later without corroboration.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
