The Story
Jim Woodford was a successful Canadian pilot and businessman who suffered from chronic pain after Guillain-Barré syndrome. On April 21, 2014, he overdosed on experimental pain medication in his truck, causing cardiac arrest and clinical death for 11 hours. During his NDE, he left his body and saw himself slumped over the wheel. He entered a tunnel of golden light at high speed. He emerged in a paradise with perfect green grass and colorful flowers. To the left, he saw a dark chasm with a fiery pit. A demonic creature emerged and pursued him, but he cried out to God. Three tall angels with violet eyes appeared, rescued him with light, and comforted him. He smelled warm tapioca and saw magnificent horses of light. Angels gave him an aerial tour of heaven, including a glowing nursery for children's souls. He saw Jesus review his thin life book and command him to return and share the wonders. After the NDE, Jim awoke in the hospital. He became a devoted Christian, shares his story worldwide to give hope, helps the poor, and wrote a book about his experience.

This NDE includes a severe medical crisis with clinical death indicators and an OBE providing a moderately specific view of the body from an impossible vantage, but no veridical perceptions were verified, with no attempts to confirm details like body position or blood, and all elements are predictable or heavenly visions without earthly corroboration.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
