The Story
Joice is from Gravataí, Rio Grande do Sul. In 2007, she had a near-death experience during childbirth. She felt calm while being taken to the hospital. After arriving, doctors prepared her for an emergency C-section. While under anesthesia, she left her body and saw a nurse who told her to return because her son needed her. The nurse also mentioned she would return to the hospital for a baby girl. After the experience, Joice woke up in the ICU. Her son, Vittor, was born and faced serious health issues but eventually improved. After the NDE, Joice felt a stronger connection to her children and a renewed sense of purpose in life.
