Discovering Spiritually Transformative Experiences: My Inner and Outer Journey with Yvonne Kason MD

The Story
Dr. Yvonne Kason, a young resident physician, experienced a near-death event on March 27, 1979, during a medevac flight in a small plane that crashed into a frozen lake in northern Ontario due to a storm. As the plane fell, panic struck her, but a peaceful force descended, and a voice said, 'Be still and know that I am God. I am with you now and always.' She stayed calm during the crash. The plane sank, and she swam through icy, fast-moving water to shore, guided by the voice despite exhaustion. Her consciousness left her body, rising 20-30 feet above to watch herself swim. It then entered a realm of white light filled with unconditional love, where she realized God is an infinite, loving force interpenetrating all creation and her soul would live on. She observed her heroic rescue by helicopter and re-entered her body during revival in hot baths. After the NDE, she gained a deeper spiritual focus, became more tolerant of diverse faiths, felt overflowing love, forgave her father, ended unhealthy relationships, lost fear of death, and developed psychic abilities, leading her to specialize in counseling spiritually transformative experiencers.
“always love god you know my love could not be destroyed that could not be taken”
The transcript describes several NDEs with out-of-body perceptions, but lacks specific, verifiable details about medical procedures or events that could not have been known through normal means. No attempts at verification or corroborated facts are mentioned, limiting evidential strength despite some medical severity and OBE vantage points.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
