The Story
Bill Letson was a firefighter and paramedic in Santa Barbara, California. In 1994, he caught a severe flu from a patient. In the emergency room, he received Nubaine, a synthetic morphine, which caused his blood pressure to drop to 40/0 and made him unconscious. During the NDE, Bill left his body and became a huge expanded awareness. He flew through brilliant colored stars that felt like welcoming beings and experienced intense euphoria. He realized his true self as a connected being who had forgotten its nature. He landed in a facility with indirect lighting, tables, and equipment. He met three short, hooded beings who giggled and said he did not remember them. Then a tall, wispy being, full of love, appeared. They talked lightly; Bill tried a life review, but it was casual with no regrets noted. The being sent him back. After the NDE, Bill gained a deep sense of connection to everything and no fear of death. He embraced life as an illusion and school for growth. He now lives with joy, follows intuition, connects with nature, and shares his story to help others awaken to higher vibrations and love.

This NDE lacks any veridical perceptions of the physical world, featuring only subjective spiritual encounters with vague beings in a non-physical realm. No impossible access claims, verifications, or corroborated details are present, limiting evidential strength despite severe medical compromise.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
