Jason Janas: The Abundance of Love
What Researchers Found
The Story
Jason Janus, a man who had abandoned his Catholic faith due to doubts and family abuse, suffered acute respiratory failure on April 2, 2020. Lung tumors caused by COVID-19 burst while he ate a sandwich, filling his lungs with blood and causing him to vomit blood before passing out. He woke in the ICU after doctors removed 2.8 liters of blood. During his NDE, he felt a strong presence in the room for a month. After praying to God for forgiveness and to see his daughters, he left his body and entered a beautiful light of unconditional love from God. He viewed the ICU from above, saw vibrant, alive grass, and knew he was home. Jesus appeared with even greater love, placed hands on his chest, and sent him back. In a later out-of-body experience, he traveled through a dark tunnel toward light but returned. After the NDE, Jason transformed completely. He left organized religion, forgave himself, and now lives with humility and unconditional love. He helps others, feels presences like angels and his deceased son, and shares that God loves everyone without judgment, focusing his life on spreading faith and reassurance that no one is alone.
“God is love God is light anything that is not that will push you further away”
No specific, verifiable veridical perceptions are reported; the OBE involves only vague, general observations of the ICU ward, grass, and trees without unique details, events, or subsequent verification. Medical severity is high initially but the key OBE occurs post-ventilator in a lethargic but conscious state, limiting evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
