Jacob Cooper: Death Changes Everything
What Researchers Found
The Story
Jacob Cooper was a three-year-old boy who had a near-death experience caused by whooping cough. The illness made him suffocate while he stood at the top of a slide ladder on a playground. He stopped breathing and blacked out. During the NDE, Jacob left his body and watched people around him, but they could not hear him. His guides pushed his unresponsive body down the slide. He entered a dark tunnel vortex that led to a bright light. There, he encountered God as a golden palace and felt profound love and home. He saw angels in a choir, sensed Jesus' presence, and viewed the earth from above, seeing past lives, future events, and his soul family. He felt embarrassed for returning early but chose to come back after seeing his future role. After the NDE, Jacob overcame anxiety and anger from the trauma. He became a clinical social worker, Reiki master, and hypnotherapist focused on past life regression. He wrote the book Life After Breath and leads seminars on spiritual awareness and empowerment.
“you know god and you see god in in in our language in vernacular as god”
The NDE includes a basic out-of-body perception claim of seeing people around the unresponsive body at the park, but lacks specific, unpredictable details and any verification. No corroborated physical observations from an impossible vantage point are reported, limiting evidential value.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
