Bryan Melvin went to Hell

The Story
Brian W. Melvin was a militant atheist when he contracted cholera from drinking infected water at a construction site in July 1980, leading to his death from dehydration. During his NDE, he left his body and floated above it, then passed through the ceiling into a peaceful darkness toward a brilliant light. He experienced a life review before a hooded Jesus, where he saw his selfish actions and betrayals. Sent to hell, he landed in a terrifying pit, encountered deceptive entities posing as loved ones, and witnessed people tormented by their own sins in isolated cells with demonic companions. Jesus rescued him, carrying him out through the void. Later, a vision of heaven showed reunions, joyful children, and God's love, healing his PTSD. After the NDE, Brian became a Christian, dedicated his life to Jesus, overcame fear-based religion, authored books on his experiences, and became a public speaker sharing his story.

The account features highly specific, verified veridical perceptions from an out-of-body state during clinical death, including hidden details of a swamp cooler invisible from the bed and external neighborhood sounds, confirmed post-experience. Multiple precise details were unpredictably accurate and personally verified shortly after. Limited by lack of documented pre-verification reporting to witnesses and the majority of the narrative focusing on unverifiable hell/heaven visions.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
