He Died But His Father Spirit Brought Him Back | (NDE) Near Death Experience
What Researchers Found
The Story
The person, a diabetic man with health issues, experienced a near-death event in February 2009 while visiting his mother after her hip surgery. He felt severe abdominal and back pains, called an ambulance, and arrived unconscious at the hospital. His kidneys failed, and he suffered cardiac arrest due to a blocked intestine and blood poisoning. During the NDE, he sat at the bottom of a crystal-clear tropical lagoon, breathing underwater amid vivid colorful fish. A bright light descended through the water and engulfed the area. A wooden post appeared in the sand. He saw his deceased father's feet in sandals and white pants, then recognized his father, who looked younger and perfect. The man apologized for end-of-life decisions; his father reassured him it was fine and described a wonderful place. They laughed, hugged, and cried for what felt like hours. His father walked away, told him to return as it was not his time, touched his shoulder, and he revived. After the NDE, he aspirated upon waking, passed out again, and recovered three days later with tubes. He gained conviction that death is a new beginning in an incredible place, though no special powers or new answers.
“HE LOOKED PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL AND CONSUMED WITH PEACE AND JOY AND OVERFLOWING WITH UNDERSTANDING AND LOVE (I could go on and on).”
This NDE features a severe medical crisis with cardiac arrest but lacks any veridical perceptions of real-world events, consisting solely of a visionary encounter with the deceased father in an otherworldly lagoon. No specific, verifiable details from the hospital environment or staff are reported, resulting in minimal evidential strength for veridical perception claims.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Was this Evidence Strength score useful?
Was this Experience Depth score useful?
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Was this Life Impact score useful?
