The Story
Lawrence Furman was a young man in his late teens with a history of mental illness. He served in the Army during the Vietnam era. The NDE occurred when military police beat him in a truck after he refused orders to go to Vietnam. During the experience, Furman left his body and watched the beating from above. He crossed over and felt a loving presence envelop him like angel wings. He saw his parents through a portal and gained compassion for them. He accessed memories of all his past lives, unraveled painful beliefs causing his mental illness, and transformed pain into joy. He faced the angel of death, who gave him a choice to stay or return. He let go of ego attachments and earthly beliefs, realizing he was only beholden to God and the Golden Rule. He returned to his injured body. After the NDE, Furman recovered in a hospital and prison but later escaped negative influences. He moved to California, regained mystical awareness and clear perception. He lived a meaningful life with adventures around the world and wrote books about his experiences.
