The Story
The person was a 21-year-old woman in rehab in California for mental health issues. She attempted suicide by overdosing on Tegretol pills and later with scissors. She stopped breathing and died for three to five minutes, requiring CPR. She first experienced blackness with no memory. Then she appeared in a dark, gloomy park like a frozen playground. A man in a black hood, who felt familiar, approached and said, 'Here we are again.' He ran on a giant hamster wheel and warned that repeating mistakes leads to a worse place. They walked past a pit of despair with black and red muck. He led her to the rehab cabinet, which opened to a bright light. The light enveloped her with unending, fatherly love free of pain. She chose to return for her family. After waking, she regretted returning and had more suicide attempts. Years later, she remembered the light and God's love, became Christian, gained spiritual faith, and attends church. She now fears death less and seeks more answers through prayer.

The NDE involved clinical death with cardiac arrest, providing strong medical severity, but lacks any out-of-body experience or veridical perceptions of real-world events during unconsciousness. A single parental confirmation of a described playground matching a prior visit offers minimal evidential value, undermined by accessible memory and absence of impossible sensory access or timely reporting.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
