The Story
Bill Tortorella, a former paramedic and jewelry business owner, had a near-death experience in 1994 during a trade show in Tucson, Arizona. He caught a severe virus or bacterial infection with high fever, swollen throat, and low oxygen levels. After treatment at a clinic, he fell asleep in his hotel room and possibly had a heart attack. He left his body and floated above it in a green mist, feeling peace and love. A beam of light pulled him into a colorful tunnel moving at light speed to heaven, where he felt at home. He met his guardian Anton, deceased brother Peter, and guardian Orin. They showed a life review of good deeds like helping friends and saving lives as a paramedic, and bad actions like leaving his first wife, making him feel their pain. In the Hall of Events, he saw world history, future events like 9/11 and wars, and two paths: dystopia or utopia based on choices. Angels taught nine principles of enlightenment, including love, intuition, and service. A young spirit told him to return. After returning, Bill gasped for air and was rushed to the hospital. His doctor confirmed a heart attack and identified it as an NDE. He reconciled with his first wife and focused on kindness and forgiveness. His daughter was born on June 6th, which he links to the experience. Bill wrote a book, shares his story, and promotes spiritual growth through positive choices and no hate.
“finally home thank God I'm home and I'm saying this to myself out out loud and”
This NDE features a classic out-of-body experience viewing one's own body from above during severe illness, but contains no specific, verifiable perceptions of medical procedures, conversations, or hidden details. Future visions like 9/11 are too vague and post-dated in reporting to provide evidential weight, limiting strength to basic subjective elements.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
