PART 1: NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE: Torture, Life Review & Meeting Jesus with Kenneth Leth
What Researchers Found
The Story
Ken Leth was an eight-year-old boy who had a near-death experience in 1963 due to appendicitis requiring emergency surgery. During the operation, ether anesthesia caused him to separate from his body and enter darkness. He chose to live and formed a wispy energetic body tethered to his physical form. He observed souls ascending to heaven but could not move. Dark spirits attacked him, terrifying him until he called to God. An angel rescued him, cut the tether, and placed him in a protective bubble. He ascended through a colorful tunnel to heaven, where he met deceased relatives including great-grandparents. He encountered a figure called Mother, Jesus, and God, experiencing a life review of his birth and actions. He explored universal knowledge, vibrations, and a heavenly choir, and was shown visions of the United States' future. After returning, Ken never intentionally hurt others, gained a deep spiritual understanding that God is within everyone, rejected rigid religious doctrines, and wrote a book about his experiences to share his insights.
The NDE occurred under deep ether anesthesia with an OBE providing a view of the body in the operating room, but details are vague and unverified. Strength from specific life review perceptions of birth trauma later confirmed by mother and encounter with unknown great-grandparents who recognized his identity and father's name; however, limited independent verifications, no OR confirmation, and late adult reporting weaken overall evidential value.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
