The Story
Renard Hannah was a far-right extremist, tattoo artist, and lifelong depressive facing jail for vandalism hate crimes. In November 2013, he attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head in a Hopkinton, New Hampshire cemetery. A spiritual force grabbed his arm and redirected the gun behind his ear. He left his body, felt pushed out to the side, and levitated into complete peaceful blackness as pure consciousness. He thought 'here we go' and floated calmly in the void with no time or fear. Then a force sucked him back into his body against his will. He died three times but revived. He survived with the bullet in his skull and recovered over nine years despite brain damage. He became a born-again Christian in 2017, rejected hate, and now lives moderately. He volunteers to help the homeless and shares faith with metalheads and outsiders, finding purpose in service while battling ongoing suicidal thoughts.
This NDE lacks any veridical perception claims, featuring only a subjective peaceful void experience with no descriptions of observing impossible events, people, or details. Despite a high medical severity from self-inflicted gunshot and clinical deaths, the absence of specific, verified perceptions limits evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
