The near death experience of Rob Gentile

The Story
Rob Genteel, a 56-year-old man, experienced a near-death event from a massive heart attack caused by a blood clot in his widowmaker artery, three nights after neck surgery for bone spurs. He flatlined for 20 minutes in the ER. During the NDE, he left his body and saw his deceased brother-in-law Frosty, who said he was in a good place and instructed Rob to return and help clean up the mess. Later, in the hospital facing heart failure and cancer, he entered an ethereal timeless place connected to universal wisdom. He viewed a web of twinkling lights representing connected lives made of light. He had a life review, forgave himself, and saw his disabled daughter Maria perfect and whole; she told him to just love her. He heard the word 'Testify.' After the NDE, Rob's religious beliefs shifted; he no longer viewed suicide as a mortal sin. He received a heart transplant, wrote a book about his experience, increased in empathy and intuition, and focused on serving others to see divine connection in all.
“and I knew that God love and light were become a tree a person a dog or a planet”
The account describes a severe 20-minute cardiac arrest with flatlining, and specific messages from spirits of a recently deceased brother-in-law and an unknown deceased relative (Dr. Patel's father), reported immediately to witnesses with partial corroboration. However, it lacks claims of impossible physical perceptual access or verified observations of medical events, focusing instead on supernatural communications. This results in high but not exceptional evidential strength due to strong medical context and unpredictability offset by verification limitations.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
