Cheryl Lee: Gifts from the Other Side Part 2
What Researchers Found
The Story
Cheryl Lee was a master corporal in an artillery regiment, musician, and landscape painter. In January 1993, she had a car accident on an icy road in a Canadian provincial park. Her car was sheared in half by a tractor-trailer, crushing it to the dashboard and killing her dog instantly. She suffered severe injuries including head trauma, fractures, and skin loss. During the NDE, she appeared in a long apartment with bookshelves where her deceased grandmother greeted her. They went to a balcony overlooking a meadow where her dog played. She wanted to join the dog but her grandmother held her back. Everything felt alive and joyful, with all seasons present at once. They talked inside over tea and cookies, discussing past family issues and future events. Her grandmother assured her she would get through it and pushed her back to her damaged body in the hospital. After the NDE, Cheryl recovered quickly despite expectations. It reminded her of childhood gifts like seeing auras and psychokinesis, which she had suppressed. She began researching these abilities, experiencing poltergeist activity like moving objects, and connected with other NDErs who had similar gifts.
“to go back but you don't have to go back but she said you know we can hang out”
The NDE took place during an extreme medical crisis with CPR and prolonged unconsciousness, providing a strong foundation, but lacks robust veridical perception claims. The only potential claim is a vague, unverified description of her own injured body seen out-of-body, with no specific or unpredictable details. Confirmed elements like family history from the deceased grandmother and the paintbrush sign constitute accurate information but not sensory perceptions of contemporaneous physical events from impossible access.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
