Ellen Whealton - Meeting Jesus and the Buddha in a Childhood Near-Death Experience

The Story
The person experienced a near-death event from a head injury that put her in a coma in the ICU in Texas. During the NDE, she floated on a raft with Jesus in front and a guide in brown robes on a breath over pink clouds. She left the raft and entered a place of light with beautiful music and colorful trees. She felt surrounded by a blanket of love and melted into the light, losing human worries. She returned to the raft where Jesus showed her choices to stay or live, and she chose to return. She received messages that worries do not matter and people co-create their lives. She vowed to heal people with music and give thanks daily. In the aftermath, she studied music therapy and counseling at a Buddhist university, recognized her guide as Buddha, and now uses guided imagery, music, and crystal bowls to help others connect with source and light. She sees angels in formations and shares her story to promote hope and bring heaven to Earth.
“know him but I knew that I felt safe and comfortable with him and they met me on”
This NDE lacks any veridical perception claims of real-world events, focusing instead on subjective spiritual visions like meeting Jesus and Buddha. The only potential verification is a later personal recognition of Buddha from a photo, but no corroborated physical details from an impossible vantage point. Medical severity is the strongest element with a coma in ICU, but evidential value is minimal without testable perceptions.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
