Ice Climber Freezes to Death : Shown the Purpose of Life (NDE)

The Story
Peter Panagore was a college student from Massachusetts on a backcountry ski trip in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Hypothermia set in after sunset during an ice climb, as he and his partner got stuck on the mountain without gear for an overnight stay. He blacked out and entered total darkness. A pinprick of light rushed toward him with immense power, pulling him in. He experienced a hell where he relived the pain he caused others from their perspectives, feeling deep shame. A divine voice told him it knew him completely and loved him unconditionally. He expanded into oneness, viewing the universe, multiple universes, and all humanity, seeing a golden light in every person. Overwhelmed by love and bliss, he remembered his parents' suffering from losing his sister and chose to return. He selected a life path and re-entered his body painfully, waking to see himself from above and within. After the NDE, Peter stayed silent at first but pursued meditation, Kriya Yoga, and spiritual readings. He shifted to a life of love and inner strength, accepting death as a return to goodness.
“beautiful and I knew that there was no kind of settled inside of me and I was”
This NDE features severe hypothermia-induced unconsciousness but contains no veridical perceptions of real-world events, only subjective mystical visions of universes, humanity, and divine love. Lacks specific, verifiable details, attempts at confirmation, or timely reporting, limiting evidential strength entirely to medical severity.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
