Alcoholic Dies & Meets her Ancestors on the Other Side (NDE)

The Story
Louisa Peek, a 22-year-old woman in 1982, experienced a near-death event at a New York nightclub. She snorted pure lidocaine, mistaking it for cocaine, which caused a grand mal seizure and cardiac arrest. She left her body and rocketed out of Manhattan with relief, leaving her stressful life behind. She saw a blue sky and ocean, dove into the water, surfaced, and reached a mesa with an old house. She entered as a point of awareness and felt her ancestors' excited presence, especially her grandfather's. Pulled to a window, she flew over the ocean toward a setting sun. A voice confirmed it was more real than her earthly life. She passed into brilliant light, felt engulfed in love, and was cradled by a being who affirmed her worth. The being said she could not stay because she was not done, then sent her back. Revived by CPR, she initially dismissed the experience as a hallucination and continued drinking. Her alcoholism worsened until a 1994 drunk driving scare prompted a divine warning. She entered AA in 1995 and has stayed sober. Now, she views God as love and intelligence in all things, focuses on spreading positivity, and advocates love to overcome hate.
“anything back there and I Knew by back and I also had not expected anyone to”
This NDE features a severe medical crisis with cardiac arrest and CPR, providing strong physiological context, but lacks any veridical perceptions of real-world events from impossible vantage points. All experiences are subjective spiritual visions (flying over ocean, ancestors' house, light, voice) with no attempts at verification or confirmed accurate details about concealed information.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
