NDE: My Story & What I Learned About Life After Death
What Researchers Found
The Story
Brian T. was a 10-year-old boy who nearly drowned in the Comal River in Texas. He slipped on algae near a small dam and got caught in the strong undertow while swimming to escape the heat. During the NDE, he felt a trickle of electricity through his body and saw his life flash before him, starting with his birth and family moments. He then entered a tunnel with light at the end, traveling at high speed and seeing the universe. He reached a boundary where stress lifted and universal knowledge flowed into him. He met ancestors who communicated telepathically, surprising them as he was deaf. They welcomed him, but his guardian angel appeared, said his time was not up, and sent him back. He was pulled through the tunnel and slammed into his body. A voice told him to stand straight, and a hand pulled him to safety. After the NDE, Brian's life perspective changed. He felt reborn with love and hope for people and nature. He kept the experience secret until age 31, when his family learned and reacted with shock and hugs. He later had many visions and dreams.
“this boundary I could never come back a but I was more than thrilled to cross I”
This NDE lacks any veridical perception claims of the physical world during unconsciousness, featuring only subjective afterlife experiences like life review, tunnel, and spiritual encounters. While medical severity suggests compromised brain function from drowning, the absence of specific, verifiable, or impossible-access details results in low evidential strength. No verification attempts or corroborated perceptions are reported.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Was this Evidence Strength score useful?
Was this Experience Depth score useful?
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Was this Life Impact score useful?
