Conquering demons: An inspiring story of addiction, death and hope - NDE Interview

The Story
Scott was a young man in his early 20s struggling with drug addiction and a traumatic past when he overdosed on methamphetamine, causing a seizure. During the NDE, he convulsed on the floor while hearing his surroundings but unable to control his body. He felt his soul escaping and saw a dark figure he thought was death. He levitated out of his body to the ceiling, where the room brightened with clouds appearing. He floated toward huge golden gates, feeling unconditional love, importance, and free of mistakes. Realizing he was dead slammed him back into his body. After the NDE, Scott initially continued his addiction and criminal life, serving prison time. Years later, reading NDE books connected to this experience, sparking faith in God. He achieved sobriety for 16 months, rebuilt family ties, secured a welding job, and found purpose in recovery and helping others.
“I was important I I felt like I never and I was just floating to these Gates”
The account describes a subjective out-of-body experience with classic NDE imagery (light, clouds, gates, love) but lacks any specific, verifiable perceptions of earthly events or details impossible to know normally. No verification attempts or confirmed details are mentioned, limiting evidential value despite unconsciousness and brief OBE claim.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
