The Story
Dr. Colin Perry, a 49-year-old professor, had a near-death experience in 2008 due to a heart attack. He felt chest pains while starting a garden trimmer after a week of rest following doctor tests. A voice warned him he would die but had tasks to do, so he called an ambulance. In the ambulance, he passed out and floated in darkness. He realized he had died and feared drifting toward a black pit. He called to Jesus, who grabbed his arm and pulled him upward through a fast tunnel of blurred lights. He met five or six wise angelic beings and Jesus, who offered overwhelming love. Jesus explained he had died and gave a choice to stay in paradise or return. Perry chose to return for his children. An angel checked his body, which was being resuscitated. Jesus healed Perry's soul from past grief and cult damage, shared his omniscience, calmed fears with love, warned about earthly choices, and showed future events. After returning, Perry lost his fear of death, strengthened his faith in Jesus, and wrote the book *Dying to Be Alive* in 2015. He now shares his story publicly to help others, especially those who lost faith, find hope and return to God.
“never felt so loved i have never felt so the nearest thing i can equate to was”
The account features a claimed out-of-body perception of resuscitation efforts in the ambulance during unconsciousness from a heart attack, but lacks specific, verifiable details and explicit confirmation from medical staff. Interpretive claims about angelic artery repairs loosely align with later medical findings but do not constitute strong independent verification. No prompt pre-verification reporting of unique details is documented.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
