Oz's Journey to the Other Side

The Story
Robert Osgood, a 54-year-old electrician from Maine, had a near-death experience after open-heart surgery. He received Versed through an IV, to which he was allergic. This caused cardiac arrest, multiple organ failures, and a four-day coma. During the NDE, Osgood left his body and watched medical staff perform CPR from above. He entered a Venturi-shaped tunnel at high speed and emerged into a bright light through a portal. He arrived in a beautiful, massive landscape with vivid colors, perfect trees, and flowers. He met Jesus, who communicated telepathically and confirmed they were in heaven within his universe. Osgood felt more alive than ever. He walked paths where he saw younger versions of deceased family members and seven children from failed IVF attempts. He experienced a life review and heard Jesus say humans are barbaric but can change, with solutions to all problems already present. Osgood saw waterfalls, birds, butterflies, and a distant church-like building. Jesus told him it was not his time and sent him back. After the NDE, Osgood shared his experience with his wife and family, felt their prayers, and gained a deeper sense of love and purpose. He now discusses his story to inform others about the afterlife.
“mean so I knew I was in heaven so then I wanting to know where this place was and”
The account features a severe medical crisis with cardiac arrest and coma, supporting strong compromised brain function, and a veridical claim of observing his wife repeatedly holding his left hand during unconsciousness, reported immediately upon waking with her puzzled reaction implying verification. However, evidential strength is limited by only one moderately specific claim from a same-room vantage, with details that could be somewhat predictable.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
