The Story
Dr. Mary Neal, an orthopedic spine surgeon, had her near-death experience during a kayaking accident in South America in 1999. Her boat got pinned underwater for nearly 30 minutes. She knew she might die but did not panic. During the NDE, she left her body and felt incredible love, acceptance, and purity that words cannot express. She spent what seemed like many hours in this state on the river. She met spiritual beings who told her it was not her time and she had more work to do on Earth. They sent her back to her body. After the NDE, Dr. Neal revived and felt overwhelming reluctance to return, even though she loved her husband and children. She now shares her story to offer comfort, hope, and inspiration. The experience made her less afraid of death and encouraged her to live more fully and joyfully.

Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
