The Story
Alan Knight was a six-year-old girl in 1966. She had a severe kidney condition called refluxing, which caused constant infections and high fevers up to 107 degrees. Doctors struggled to keep her alive in Bryn Mawr Hospital, Pennsylvania. She felt she was dying one night. Three figures in white robes appeared at her bed. Two floated silently. The third, with a gray beard, bent down and spoke in her ear. He said she must work for them and agree to their plan to live. He instructed her to become a jewelry designer, work with Native Americans, later partner with Japan, and lead creatively to help Native Americans. He gave her talents for design and visions into her life, including past lives and future flashes. She agreed reluctantly to escape the hospital. She left her body and saw the scene from above. After the NDE, Alan studied jewelry design in New York. From age 18, she followed the path, working 20 years in New Mexico with Native American silversmiths at Gertrude Zachary, creating contemporary jewelry. She cares for her autistic sister, fighting for proper neurological diagnosis and care as part of her purpose. Visions guide her decisions, including five years of travel. She now shares her NDE openly.
The NDE occurred during a life-threatening medical crisis with high fevers and near-kidney failure, supporting strong medical severity, and includes an OBE claim of viewing spiritual figures from above the bed with some specific details like floating and rope belts. However, evidential strength is limited by the absence of any verified physical perceptions, no attempts or methods to confirm the observed details, and lack of timely reporting prior to recollection in adulthood.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
