Thomas had four near-death experiences starting at age 9. The first occurred in Berlin when he was 9 and electrocuted himself by putting water from a goldfish bowl into an electric socket. The second happened at 15 while swimming; a classmate trapped him underwater. The third at 27 during an electrical installation in a bathroom, shocking him. The fourth in 2000 at 36 in a car accident on the highway, causing severe injuries. In the first NDE, light beings like glowing candles surrounded him and told him telepathically it was too early to die; he returned.
