#221 - Aziza Falls From Ski Lift
What Researchers Found
The Story
Aziza was a 20-year-old snowboarder who jumped off a ski lift about 40 feet high to impress a man she liked. She landed badly and broke both wrists, four ribs, vertebrae, left hip, left leg, and pelvic bone. She blacked out multiple times from pain and had 10 hours of surgery with five blood transfusions. She died clinically during the operation. During the NDE, Aziza found herself in bright white light above the clouds, feeling weightless without a body. She saw four young adults and an elder man like God ahead. He looked at each young adult with sadness and disappointment; they disappeared one by one, some screaming. When he looked at her, she felt his love and sorrow. She apologized for her partying and drug dealing. He gave her a second chance because she wanted a family. She woke up with tubes and panicked. After the NDE, Aziza stopped bad habits and grew close to God. She married the man, had children despite infertility warnings, became a registered nurse, and sends her kids to Christian school. She faces health issues like diabetes and strokes but feels grateful, has no fear of death, and focuses on love and helping others.
“definitely not living a life that um God um and so he looked at the next the next”
Despite a severe medical crisis involving clinical death and massive blood loss during surgery, the NDE lacks any veridical perceptions, out-of-body observations, or verifiable details of the physical environment. The experience is a purely subjective visionary encounter with spiritual figures, with no claims of impossible sensory access or specific, verified elements.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
