Krista Gorman: I Died And Learned How To Live
What Researchers Found
The Story
Christa Gorman, a physician assistant, had a near-death experience 14 years ago during labor with her daughter. An amniotic fluid embolism caused cardio-respiratory arrest for eight minutes while doctors performed an emergency C-section. She floated above her body and watched the delivery. Particles formed her awareness as she observed the scene without feeling or hearing. A pull drew her through white space to a realm of all-encompassing love, where she received answers to life's questions, all rooted in love. She approached a bright light and entered a space with needy spirit figures, including a little boy. She tried to help but realized they drained her energy, so she pulled away. She passed through another space into a beautiful landscape of yellow flowers, green hills, forests, and a waterfall, which she called her Eden. Benevolent guides flanked her and offered three choices: stay, move beyond, or return. She chose to return and agreed to share what she learned. After recovery, Christa struggled to reintegrate and faced unhappiness and depression. Her husband's illness prompted her to embrace the experience. She wrote 'I Died and Learned How to Live' and created 12 principles for daily living, like living lovingly and compassionately. This brought healing, joy, and transformation to her life and family. She now shares her story to help others through love and service.
“back to be the love that i felt in the afterlife and to share that love”
The account features a severe medical crisis with 8 minutes of cardio-respiratory arrest, providing strong evidence of compromised brain function, and an out-of-body experience viewing events from an impossible vantage point above the body during C-section. However, perceptions lack specificity, verifiability, unpredictability, and any reported verification or prompt pre-verification reporting, limiting evidential strength.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
