Experiencing Miracles - Interview with Carlos Vivas

The Story
Carlos, a man from Atlanta, Georgia, experienced a near-death event in 2015 while swimming at St. Andrews State Park in Panama City, Florida. A riptide pulled him far into the ocean. He struggled to swim back but got cramps and surrendered to God. A huge wave pushed him under, and a dolphin grabbed him, bringing him to the surface. He held the dolphin's tail until a boat rescued him. The rescuer was from Atlanta too, and the dolphin followed them to shore. On the beach, Carlos gave his life to God. That night, he had a vision on a cruise ship where a tsunami approached. Jesus hugged him from behind and took him to heaven, a green paradise with millions in white robes. Jesus explained no religions exist there, only love unites people. They did a life review, and Jesus told Carlos to return and share the message. After this, Carlos shared his story in churches, saw confirming signs like matching paintings, volunteered at a hospice, became more humble, focused on helping others through service, forgiveness, and living with purpose.

This account describes a visionary 'epiphany' after a conscious near-drowning with details later matching pre-existing unknown religious artwork, reported to witnesses prior to discovery; however, it lacks clinical death or unconsciousness, out-of-body vantage points, and real-time veridical perceptions of mundane events, relying instead on spiritual synchronicities.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Was this Evidence Strength score useful?
Was this Experience Depth score useful?
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Was this Life Impact score useful?
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
