The Story
Carol had a near-death experience on February 15, 2009, after attending a wedding the previous day. She died in her sleep with no clear physical cause and was clinically dead for about an hour. Her husband, an ambulance paramedic, performed CPR for 47 minutes until additional paramedics arrived and resuscitated her. During the experience, Carol left her body and saw herself lying in bed. She tried to re-enter but could not and failed to wake her husband. As paramedics worked on her, she entered a heavenly place through sparkles of light. There, she met Jesus and Metatron at an oasis. She cried about life's hardships, and they comforted her. They offered her a choice to stay or return. She discussed the future, religion, and life's purpose of learning kindness and love with them and her guides. She chose to return just as paramedics were about to stop efforts and re-entered her body, regaining a pulse. After the NDE, Carol woke from a drug-induced coma after several days. She believes she returned to continue her spiritual work and consulting with guides. She gained a deeper understanding that kindness and love are life's core purpose.
“telling them how sad I was and how hurt I felt by life that life had been very difficult and they comforted me and you know basically let me cry for a little bit of time and then they told”
The account features a severe medical crisis with clinical death and detailed out-of-body perceptions of resuscitation efforts from an elevated vantage point. However, evidential strength is limited by the complete absence of reported verification attempts, confirmed details, and information on timely reporting of the experience.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
