Near Death Experience | Blind From Birth | Vicky's NDE
What Researchers Found
The Story
Vicki Noratuk, blind from birth, had a near-death experience at age 22 after a car accident caused by a drunk driver. She suffered a skull fracture, concussion, neck injury, back injury, and leg injury, and was clinically dead for four minutes. During the experience, she left her body and saw her form as a body of light entering and exiting her mouth. She floated above the accident scene and then observed doctors in the hospital from the ceiling, hearing them discuss her condition and recognizing her wedding ring. She tried to communicate but could not, then passed through the ceiling. She traveled in a fast vehicle, passing a hellish area with sulfur smells, and arrived in a beautiful park-like place with music. Deceased relatives and classmates greeted her, and Jesus showed her a life review where she felt others' emotions. Jesus told her it was not her time, to return, give birth to children, and teach love and forgiveness. After returning, her depression lifted. She gained belief in an afterlife, shared her story, found community with other NDE survivors, and found happiness in marriage.
“god brought me the love of my life now and i've i have never known so much happiness in my entire life as i have found with my husband now robbie that's wonderful that that's a that's a marvelous”
Vicki, blind from birth, reports detailed visual perceptions from an OBE vantage point during clinical death from a severe car accident, including specific doctor quotes about blood on her left eardrum and potential vegetative state, which she later confirmed. Evidential strength is bolstered by her sensory impossibility and precise details but limited by vague verification process and lack of documented pre-verification reporting.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
