#313 - Dr. Yvonne Kason, MD Describes Her 5 Near Death Experiences. Pt. #1

The Story
Dr. Yvonne Cason, a retired family physician and psychotherapist, had multiple near-death experiences starting in childhood. Her first NDE occurred at age 5 at a train station in Switzerland. She leaned to jump onto the tracks, left her body, floated 20 feet above, saw an oncoming train, felt calm and peaceful, then returned as a man pulled her back. Her second NDE happened at age 11 in a freeway car accident. The vehicle flipped into a ditch; she suffered a head injury and was unconscious for three days. Out of body, she observed her injured father calling for her at the scene. She then saw her body on an emergency room table from above, with doctors working under a round lamp. She had a third NDE in a 1979 Medevac plane crash as a medical resident. After these experiences, Cason specialized in counseling and researching NDEs and spiritual transformations. In 1990, she became Canada's first MD in this field, opened a clinic, wrote books like Soul Lessons from the Light, appeared in media, and founded Spiritual Awakenings International. The age 11 NDE caused her to see ghosts for a year.
“beam of light a being of light coming out and pulling him out of the darkness”
The account features a single corroborated veridical perception of the father's repeated calls for his missing daughter while the experiencer was unconscious after a car accident, supported by the father's later confirmation. However, the medical state was deep unconsciousness without clinical death, perceptions were from an out-of-body vantage in the same location, details were specific but predictable, and there is only one verified claim with no documented pre-verification reporting. Additional observations like the ER lamp lack independent verification.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
