The Story
Jim Bubba Bay had a near-death experience on November 15, 2009, after stumbling and falling 14 feet while walking at night, landing on his head on a rock. While lying unconscious on a log, a bright light appeared outside his closed eyelids, making him open his eyes. The light grew brighter, filling the area with colors. A grandfatherly figure in a robe approached, with Jim's deceased sons, James and Robert, at his side. They communicated telepathically. Jim believed the figure was God speaking through Jesus. God answered Jim's questions about the Bible's role in violence and why his children died young. God said Jim had work to do and must return to life. The figure and light then faded. Despite severe injuries like a fractured skull, broken ribs, and spinal fractures, Jim got up and shuffled 200 feet to a neighbor's house to call 911. After recovery, Jim gained peace about his losses and a sense of purpose. He now speaks at NDE conferences, shares his story, and connects with others who had similar experiences.
