Woman Dies; Taught About Consciousness And Shown Her Future During NDE
What Researchers Found
The Story
Brook, a 29-year-old woman, had her near-death experience in December 2010 due to complex autoimmunity. Doctors gave her medication that harmed her liver, leading to systemic organ failure, a traumatic brain injury, and coma. She was helicoptered to Johns Hopkins Hospital. During the NDE, her consciousness left her body in the ICU. She felt a pull to the other side and traveled through the cosmos to a realm of light, vibration, and love. She met three familiar lights in ruby, amethyst, and emerald tones, like a family reunion. She realized she was formless and merged with lights, communicating through vibrations. Angelic beings held her and shared messages. She encountered the Creator's vast ultraviolet white light and understood all beings are fractals of it. Given a choice, she decided to return to fulfill her soul contract despite more suffering. She saw three lights: a harsh yellow one, and soft green and indigo ones from her future children. She returned to her body. After the NDE, Brook experienced spontaneous healing from autoimmune disease and left the hospital in under a month. She became a new person, more connected to light and service. Her children, born later, anchored her and helped integrate cosmic lessons into life.

This NDE lacks any veridical perceptions of medical events, staff actions, or physical details from an impossible vantage point, focusing instead on spiritual lights, beings, and personal insights. No attempts at verification or corroborated specific details are reported, limiting evidential strength despite severe medical crisis. The account is rich in subjective spiritual experiences but offers no testable claims.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
