The Near Death Experience of Mr. Marc H.

The Story
Mark was a 22-year-old drug addict in 1993. He overdosed on cocaine in a hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, which caused his heart to stop. During the NDE, his soul shot upwards like a rocket into space. He felt scared but recognized the place from childhood out-of-body experiences. A huge transparent hand stopped him. A stern bearded man's face appeared and said, 'Mark, it's not your time yet. You have a mission. Get back into your body. Have faith and trust in me.' The hand pushed him back at high speed. He heard voices say he was dead but revived on the floor, unable to move, with the thought to report the experience. After the NDE, Mark got help from the embassy to return to Switzerland. He relapsed briefly but entered a 5-year therapy program in Spain and recovered. He stopped hard drugs, married, had other spiritual experiences, and now believes in God, Jesus, angels, and life after death. He sees the world differently and stresses the need for love.

The account describes a dramatic drug overdose NDE with out-of-body travel and a spiritual encounter, indicating severe medical crisis, but contains no veridical perceptions of earthly events or details impossible to know normally. The only potential perception—hearing voices say 'He's dead'—is vague, predictable, and lacks verification or evidence of impossible access.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
