Andrea Courey - A Vision and an NDE After Being Stuck by a Car
What Researchers Found
The Story
Andrea was a 31-year-old mother of three young children. In December 1991, a car hit her and her husband from behind on a snowy sidewalk after a Christmas party. The car jumped the curb and threw her 35 feet. During the NDE, Andrea left her body and floated nine feet above it. She watched the chaotic crowd without fear and tried to tell them she was okay, but no one heard her. A light and sense of well-being pulled her away. She met a tall, luminous male figure who addressed her by name and asked if she wanted to stay or return. She chose to go back for her children. A powerful vortex of energy spun her around and slammed her back into her body. After the NDE, Andrea's life changed. She realized consciousness exists outside the body. This helped her cope with her daughter's death in 2016, when she sensed her daughter's spirit beside her. In 2017, she found community at an NDE conference.
“all go back in go back in and get a code I'm okay but nobody would hear me nobody”
This NDE includes an OBE from an impossible vantage point with moderately specific details of the accident scene, but receives a low score due to complete absence of any verification attempts, confirmed perceptions, or documented timely reporting. The precognitive vision prior to the accident is intriguing but not part of the NDE veridical claims and thus not scored.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
