"I Now Know God After My Near-Death Experience“ | Hartwig Koppi in Conversation

The Story
Mr. Koppi, an engineer, had a near-death experience in 2006. He felt weak after lifting heavy stones and went to the emergency room. An ECG showed issues, so he was admitted to the hospital. His fear of death grew when another patient nearby suffered a pulmonary embolism. During the NDE, he felt dead and stood in darkness. He saw two tunnels with white light and human silhouettes at the ends but could not enter them. Then he entered a light-filled room in another dimension. Four light beings reviewed his entire life quickly, like a movie, and spoke to him with love, healing past pains. A great presence appeared behind him. He asked about his illness, and it replied, 'It is good the way it is' three times. He returned to his body feeling strong. After the NDE, tests were normal, and he was discharged healthy after five days. He lost his fear of death, gained knowledge of God, and became spiritual. He now lives more relaxed and accepts life easily.
“Everything was full of love, everything was filled with an orange-violet-white light These four beings went through my life with me.”
This NDE lacks any veridical perception claims, featuring only common subjective elements like tunnels, light beings, and life review triggered by fear during mild illness without unconsciousness. No impossible perceptions, verifications, or timely reports undermine evidential value.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
