The Story
Robin Aisha Landers was an 8-year-old girl abducted in 1977 and taken to Zimbabwe during the civil war. Her first NDE happened when a soldier shot her in the head near a creek. She left her body and watched it below. She traveled to a warm, brilliant place where two village women greeted her and showed a golden sphere of home. She chose to return after a guide led her through a dark cave of past abuses, where she forgave herself. She flew with the guide, met a being who revealed universal connection by changing faces, and saw her African mother wailing below. A grandmother figure instructed her to sing for others' belonging. Her second NDE occurred during a village massacre when she fell from blood loss. A blue being sang 'you will live' and showed how broken places allow love and create new life from destruction. After surviving and returning to the US, Robin repressed her trauma but later pursued healing. She became a therapist specializing in trauma recovery, taught self-compassion, created art, and planned a book and docu-series to help others integrate experiences and build peace.
“I knew how to cope I knew how to so he assaulted me and broke my ribs on”
The account features vivid internal spiritual experiences during clinical crises from gunshot wounds and blood loss, but lacks any verified veridical perceptions of the physical world. OBE claims involve seeing one's body and later the adoptive mother holding it, but these details are unverified, predictable, and not highly specific or impossible to access sensorily if semi-conscious.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
Are you here because someone you love has died?
These accounts were gathered because death may not be the end. Thousands of people have experienced something beyond — and come back to tell us about it.
