The Story
John Paul was a gang member in his twenties when he was shot in the head during an ambush in 1997. This caused his near-death experience. During the NDE, he saw rapid slides of his life events, reliving all the emotions from childhood to the present. He then entered a dark place with overwhelming fear. Something pushed him toward deeper darkness in stages. He heard screams for help from people, including a familiar voice saying 'Help me.' After the NDE, the fear lingered for eight years. In 2005, after prison release, he heard a voice quote scripture about sin and death. This led him to a Christian men's home where he accepted Jesus. He left gang life, found freedom from his past, and became a preacher. Over 20 years, he has led more than 17,000 people to faith.
