The Story
Daniel Berniceky was a 19-year-old man with heart problems, including high blood pressure and palpitations. The NDE happened at a Greek Orthodox monastery in Northern California in 2007 while he napped. He felt his last heartbeat and breath, then crawled out of his chest and floated to the ceiling. He looked down at his body, realized it was him, and saw in 360 degrees. He sensed the monks' deep love during their liturgy. He sped through the ceiling above Earth, saw wildfires on the West Coast, and focused on a city like San Francisco, feeling people's emotions. He viewed Earth as a breathing, sentient entity covered in unnatural crystalline substance. He traveled to the galaxy, universe, and a white mist with golden light of unconditional love. He became a dark blue sphere of consciousness, joined other colorful spheres in unity and bliss. A blue being showed him a spherical film reel of Earth's history, blending past, present, and future. He saw Roman and medieval times and laughed at leaders' egos. The light sent him back despite his wish to stay. He returned to his body, gasping and pale. After the NDE, Daniel healed completely with no health issues. He became highly sensitive to others' emotions and crowds. His anxiety lessened over time as he embraced less fear. He shared his story on podcasts starting in 2017 and has vivid dreams and out-of-body experiences.
The account features a claimed veridical remote perception of accurate wildfires across Northern California seen from above Earth during an OBE after feeling heart and breath stop, with prompt reporting to family. However, specificity is moderate without unique details, wildfires were potentially guessable given the location and season, and verification is vaguely self-reported without detailed confirmation methods.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
