The Story
Angel was a 21-year-old born-again Christian who struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts. The NDE occurred during a suicide attempt when he put a loaded pistol to his head and placed his finger on the trigger. Time slowed, and he saw Jesus on His throne surrounded by worshipping angels and people, with the Father's light nearby. Jesus came behind him and said, 'Don't do it.' Jesus then took him through a dark tunnel to hell, where he felt intense fear and heard horrific screams. He saw demons torturing people in dungeons and descended into a massive pit of fire with millions of tormented souls climbing over each other in lava. He witnessed a 19-year-old who died unrepentant in a motorcycle accident and a woman suffering for unforgiveness toward her husband. His life sins replayed unforgiven. A woman in the pit reached for help, making him realize he would join them if he died by suicide. He begged forgiveness, and Jesus pulled him back through the tunnel to his body. After the NDE, Angel stopped the attempt and kept the experience secret for 30 years. It ended his suicidal thoughts and deepened his faith. He joined the Marines, witnessed to others, and later shared his story to help suicidal people, like a 14-year-old girl who then chose life and followed God.
