The Story
Joyce Brodsky experienced a near-death event during her second surgery for thyroid cancer. She was terrified of the doctor and feared she would not survive. As anesthesia took effect, she left her body and floated to the ceiling, looking down at the operating room. Archangel Michael appeared beside her as a large male figure with long blonde hair and blue eyes. He wrapped a wing around her, assured her she would survive the surgery because she had important work to do, and filled her with feelings of love and safety. She spent the six-and-a-half-hour procedure in his presence. After the surgery, Joyce recovered fully and entered remission from cancer in 2001. She transformed her life by becoming more spiritual, improving her diet, and pursuing self-healing. She left her landscaping career to become a certified Reiki master in 2010 and an ordained minister. Now she works as a light worker and animal communicator, helping humans and animals with healing and messages.
The account describes an OBE during anesthesia with a vantage point from the ceiling, but provides no specific or verifiable details about OR events, conversations, or objects, only vague mentions of doctors and nurses. No verification attempts or confirmed perceptions are reported, limiting evidential value.
Score reflects verifiable perceptions reported. A low score indicates the experience was primarily spiritual or subjective, not that it didn't occur.
Score reflects transformation as described. Domains scored 0 indicate the topic was not discussed, not that no change occurred.
